Museumnacht 2022. This is happening at the Ainsi this Friday! On Friday 8 April 2022, the beautiful industrial building AINSI at the foot of the Pietersberg will enrich the Museumnacht Maastricht line-up for the first time. Intro in Situ proudly presents their brand new Muziekhuis aan de Maas, a unique sound workshop and stage for various music productions, makers and disciplines. The Museumnacht Maastricht buses ensure that the city and the banks of the Meuse merge for one night, and AINSI is just a hop-on, hop-off step away.
Get ready for take-off and dream the night away with young, new talent, concerts, and sound & video art. With performances by Pascal Burback and Triana y Luca. And with installations and exhibitions by Christy Westhovens, Greylight Projects, CAS, and SAM Art Studios.

Even though humans spend about one-third of their lifetime sleeping, very few inform themselves about how to improve their sleep and their life quality. Sleep is essential for the body to repair and recover itself (among other things), and it's also where our dream activities happen.
SO - What is dreaming?
There's no simple explanation for the meaning and purpose of dreams; despite advancing scientific knowledge, much remains unknown about both sleep and dreams. Join us on our sonic journey and exploration through dreams and sleep and discover what they might sound like.

Triana y Luca
Sit down and listen to the musical storyline of Triana y Luca. This Benelux based duo merges melancholic melodies with storytelling and traditional music. Their compositions build upon myths, fables, and sounds from different cultures. Inspired by al-Andaluz and Indigenous music, Triana y Luca always play to tell a story.
The duo is made up of Triana Segovia - multidimensional visual artist, poet, and vocalist, and Luca Vaillancourt - composer and student at the Jazz Conservatory in Maastricht. Together, the duo brings a new perspective to traditional music.

Christy Westhovens
Christy Westhovens graduated from Maastricht Institute of the Arts in 2020. As a graduation project, she developed portable boxes that convert the body's electrical charge into sound. Touching a surface in space is converted into a tone and thus a live soundscape of a body is created. She will conduct research into how she can further develop these boxes and how she can make the interaction of a person with objects and surfaces and the interaction between different people in the room audible.

During Museumnacht Maastricht, Greylight Projects will present a special video programme at Intro in Situ in AINSI. Prior to the night, Greylight Projects launched an Open Call offering creators the opportunity to share their digital video works with the Museumnacht Maastricht audience.
