ARTISTS TALKS:

Stefania Crișan and Isolde Venrooy

28.03, 7-9pm, IKOB Museum


On the occasion of their current residency "performing landscapes" at Greylight Projects in partnership with IKOB – Museum of Contemporary Art, Stefania Crișan and Isolde Venrooy present their respective practices at IKOB. Both artists will work at Greylight Projects in Heerlen, NL between March and May 2023, developing a new project to be publicly presented at the "performing landscapes" festival on 2nd September 2023, taking place at IKOB. The festival is a collaboration between the different institutions of the Very Contemporary network.
Following an open call for proposals, the two artists were selected by a jury consisting of Very Contemporary members Guus van Engelshoven (De Domijnen, Sittard), Roy Voragen and Wouter Huis (Greylight Projects) and Brenda Guesnet (IKOB).

The talks will be in English. No registration necessary, admission is free.

KOK & KUNST:

Food and art diner by the Buurderij Heerlen

The Buurderij Heerlen is pleased to present a new activity.

The first KOK & KUNST dîner will take place on Friday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. on schaesbergerweg 58 in Heerlen.

It is a food and art event – the chef and the artists are preparing for your things to eat, see and discover.

For a fixed price of 20, – €, you have a full meal combined with art. Let yourself be surprised!

Please reserve your plate as soon as possible and before Friday, March 17. Places are limited.

#MAPPINGHEERLEN

New online, maps by Kenneth Moreno Kiernan & Ben Weir

Kenneth Moreno Kierman and Ben Weir spent three months in residency at Greylight Projects (September–November 2022), part of the Borderland Residencies programme, respectively researching 'water' and 'fountains', and the physicality and presence of architecture by Fritz Peutz in today's Herleen.

They proposes in #mappingheerlen a selection of viewpoints and some documentation of their research process in relation to the city, accessible here:
