NL: Kunstenaar Christian Landspersky en curator Wouter Huis in gesprek met Roy Voragen. Christian Landspersky en Wouter Huis bespreken de tentoonstelling What Remains? inGreylight Projects (het gesprek valt samen met de finnisage van de tentoonstelling). Dit gesprek gaat over de rol van het materiaal dat overblijft na het sluiten van een tijdelijke tentoonstelling. Kan het materiaal voor iets anders gebruikt worden en een tweede leven krijgen? Last days: exhibition WHAT REMAINS 
A question that plays a role in contemporary art practice is what to do with the material of a (temporary) installation when the exhibition is over. Or the material left over from experiments in the artist's studio. This is one of the questions Christian Landspersky asks with the project What Remains Gallery.
For Greylight Projects, it is a recurring topic as a workshop and exhibition space for contemporary art. What remains after an artist has been a guest in our studios in Heerlen. Is this a material intervention or are it lasting ideas that resonate in the minds of visitors and participants? To draw attention to the original material, which the contemporary art system, once used - as replaceable, temporary and reproducible - discards. In a field of both mental and physical tension, What Remains Gallery approaches the forgotten and excluded and, at the same time, the present and existing. What Remains Gallery is not so much the idea of an art gallery as a mental space for transformations to be explored.
What Remains Gallery:
What remains / What Remains? Since its inception in 2009, the What Remains Gallery has revolved around this question. Instead of producing something new, the focus of the artistic practice is on exploring what already exists. What remains of an artist's work, an artistic work and its idea after it has been exhibited? What Remains Gallery starts from this end, to discover a new beginning in artistic potential.

Maak je stad eigen!
 Ben jij nieuwsgierig naar wat jouw rol kan zijn in de stad, of wat de stad voor jou kan betekenen? Doe dan mee met Atelier Karton. Met Atelier Karton reflecteren we samen op onze omgeving. Samen bouwen we aan ideeën over de stad en voor de toekomst. Verbreed je blik en bouw aan je eigen stad! Wat is Atelier KARTON? Atelier KARTON neemt de stad onder de loep door ernaar te kijken en erover te praten. We zullen de stad letterlijk gaan verkennen door wandelingen te maken en in gesprek te gaan met mensen over de stad: hoe zij zich ermee verbonden voelen en welke rol ze erin spelen. Wat is onze persoonlijke en collectieve relatie met de stad? Wat zijn de aanknopingspunten, overeenkomsten, verschillen en overlappingen? Wat zou je graag anders zien in de stad? Wat doet de stad met jou en wat doe jij met de stad? Veel van dit soort vragen zullen aan bod komen tijdens de sessies. De workshops bestaan uit praat -en bouwsessies. Tijdens deze bouwsessies is karton ons basismateriaal. Karton is een vanzelfsprekend materiaal dat maandelijks aan de weg staat als afval. Het programma biedt iedere deelnemer de kans om te ontdekken wat er met dit materiaal mogelijk is en diens eigen ideeën hiermee te realiseren. Dit kan alleen of juist samen. Ben je benieuwd naar Atelier KARTON? Meld je dan aan door een korte beschrijving van jezelf en waarom je graag mee wilt doen te mailen naar atelierkarton@greylightprojects.org. Praktische informatie Wat: Atelier KARTON bestaat uit een reeks van 2 bijeenkomsten. De duur van deze varieert tussen de 1 à 2 uur. Wanneer: 12 juli en .. om 19:00 Waar: Het gehele programma vindt plaats in Heerlen, op verschillende plekken. De bijeenkomsten zijn in of nabij het centrum van Heerlen. Wie: Er is ruimte voor maximaal 20 deelnemers. The flag has a long tradition of different uses and meanings. Flags are commonly used to transmit signals, to identify countries, regions or cities, or to visually demarcate a territory. Flags are also frequently used to represent political ideas and beliefs. The artists are asked to respond from their own work and vision of the medium "flag" within the context of the location in which they are shown. The different flags will be shown to the public at various locations in and around the inner city of Heerlen. There is also an exchange of artists flags between art organizations and museums in the Euregion, a collaboration within the Very Contemporary network.
