21.05 Margo Sanda - Sounds in Motion
20:00 Bankastudios, Maastricht
Intro invites Margo Sanda, whose uncompromising experimental pop exists in the ‘in-between’ space: part song, part chaos and part digital cave. She experiments with fragmented song forms with a raw, almost punk energy.
Sounds in Motion is part of the Moving Music Festival (18th till 22nd of May) organized by the conservatory of Maastricht, showcasing the next generation of talent all throughout Maastricht. Read more about the rest of the program below.

The first act of the Sounds in Motion program consists of composition students from Vykintas Baltakas’s class. Their works experiment with live radio noise, feedback systems, guitar looping, electronics, and improvisation. They walk a fine line between composed material and real-time processes, ensuring that no two performances are ever the same. The participating students are: Avery Chan, Sara Carmona, Aiden Lewis, and Phuc Nguyen.

28.05 Wukir Suryadi & déjàVU? - A Curious Night Fever 19:00, Bankastudios, Maastricht
Hailing from Malang, East Java (Indonesia), composer and instrument builder Wukir Suryadi fuses ancient Javanese tradition with contemporary music (from the Indonesian band Senyawa). Joined by Caribbean beatboxer DavidX and DJ & VJ Madame Macario, a quadraphonic freakshow will take place: peaceful meditations merge into noisy, rhythmical frenzies. In their own words: “Expect the worst to enjoy the best!”
In addition to the performance by Wukir Suryadi & déjàVU?, there will also be a workshop by Wukir Suryadi (instrument building) & DavidX (beatbox).
